Sarath Chandran has rich experience in the Housing Finance Industry most of which was in collections and technical functions. He is a seasoned collections and technical professional with over two decades of experience. He is credited with many new innovations in the areas of collections and technical. Prior to joining Aptus, he was with Sundaram Home Finance in the technical department. Most of his career is associated with technical functions and operations specifically in the field of property inspection, statutory approvals and valuation. Property valuation including marketability being the pivot for any housing finance company, his expertise significantly facilitates in building a quality home loan portfolio. Sarath is a Graduate in Civil Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University with a Master’s degree in real estate valuation. He has participated in various programs & seminars by the Institution of Valuers.

Sankaran Krishnamurthy is a Non- Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Madras. He is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He was the former deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India, where he served for more than 38 years. He was also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SBI Life Insurance Company Limited. He is also on the board of our subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Kandheri Munuswamy Mohandass is a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Madras. He is an associate and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a partner in KM Mohandass & Co., Chartered Accountants. He has over three decades of experience in the financial services sector. He is also on the board of Archean Chemical Industries Private Limited and our subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Krishnamurthy Vijayan is a Non- Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from C.M. Dubey Post- Graduate College, Bilaspur and he has cleared the master of arts examination conducted by the Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur. He has previously served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IDBI Asset Management Limited, Managing Director of J P Morgan Asset Management India Private Limited and Chief Executive Officer of JM Financial Asset Management Private Limited and has various years of experience in the financial services industry.
Mona Kachhwaha is a Non – Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. She holds a post graduate diploma in business management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. She has completed the FICCI CCG Women on Corporate Boards Mentorship Program offered by FICCI Centre for Corporate Governance. She has previously worked with Citibank N.A. and Caspian Advisors Private Limited. She has various years of experience in the financial services sector. She is also on the Board of Ujjivan Financial Services Limited and Impact Investors Council.
V G Kannan VG Kannan is a Non – Executive Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Madurai Kamaraj University and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Madras. He is a career banker with over 38 years of experience in the Banking & Financial Services Space and has held several leadership positions in the Sector. Mr. Kannan has significant experience in Banking & Financial Sector, especially in Credit & Risk Management, Insurance, Capital Markets and Treasury & Fund Management. Mr. Kannan is acknowledged as an authority in Credit, Treasury, Risk and Investment Management in the Banking sector. He handled several leadership positions with State Bank of India (SBI), its subsidiaries & group companies as Managing Director of SBI. He is also on the boards of AU Small Finance Bank Limited, Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company Limited and OCM India Opportunities Arc Management Private Limited.
Shailesh Jayantilal Mehta is a Non – Executive Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology (mechanical engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Master of science degree in operations research from Case Western Reserve University and a Doctorate in philosophy from Case Western Reserve University. He is also trustee emeritus at the California State University and has also been conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters by the California State University. He currently serves as a partner at Granite Hill Capital Partners and is currently an operating advisor at WestBridge Capital US Advisors, LLC. He has several years of experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves on the boards of inter alia, Safari Industries (India) Limited, Manappuram Finance Limited, India Shelter Finance Corporation Limited and Vistaar Financial Services Private Limited.
Sumir Chadha is a Non – Executive Nominee Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Princeton University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He is the co-founder of WestBridge Capital. He has several years of experience in the investment industry. He was previously also a director of Sequoia Capital India Advisors Private Limited. He currently serves on the Board of India Shelter Financial Corporate Limited, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Mountain Managers Private Limited and Kuhoo Technology Services Private Limited.
Kanarath Payattiyath Balaraj is a Non–Executive Nominee Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor ‘s degree in business management from Brigham Young University, Hawaii where he was a valedictorian and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Previously, he was the cofounder and Managing Director at WestBridge Capital India Advisors Private Limited and has several years of experience in the investment industry. He is currently a partner at Waimea Bay Advisors LLP.
Suman Bollina is a Non – Executive Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a global MBA degree from S.P. Jain Center of Management. He is the executive managing partner of Sri Santhi Corporation. He has over 10 years of experience in development of residential lay outs and design, construction and sale of apartments. He is also on the board of our Subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited.
Balaji P is the Chief Financial Officer of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Madras. He also passed the final examination held by the ICAI to qualify as a chartered accountant. He has various years of experience in the textiles, telecom and finance sectors. He was previously associated with the Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited, Hutchison Max Telecom Limited and Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited. He joined our Company as the CFO on June 21, 2010.
G Subramaniam, (GS ) has rich experience in the areas of operations, accounting, internal audit, risk management, fraud control, credit management, collections, recovery and legal. Before joining Aptus, he was with Cholamandalam as Associate Vice President. Prior to Cholamandalam, he has worked in organizations like SRF Limited, Reliance Industries Ltd. GS has made immense contributions towards many initiatives including delinquency management system, creating robust process controls, Enterprise risk framework, fraud control manual etc. He has presented various papers in seminars conducted by ICAI, Institute of Internal auditors on fraud control, Internal audit. GS is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India trained under Fraser and Ross Chennai, Member of Institute of Internal auditors USA, Member of Certified Information system auditor USA, Member of Certified fraud examiner USA. He has passed the Senior Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He was among the top performers and identified as future leader and underwent the Business Leadership Program organized by the Murugappa Group in association with IIMB.
Manoharan has over 18 years of Experience in the Housing Finance Industry. He has experience in the Housing Finance Industry across sales, Channel Management, Distribution management, formulation of credit policies, credit appraisals etc. Prior to joining Aptus, he was engaged with Can Fin Homes and Dewan Housing in various capacities across sales, channel management and credit. He also has a thorough exposure to legal and technical framework pertaining to housing finance. He is managing a diverse range of operations entailing Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Training and Budgeting. Manoharan holds a Post Graduate Degree in Physics from Calicut University and also has completed a Financial Management certificate course with ICFAI.
Sanin Panicker is the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Kerala. He has various years of experience in the consulting and finance sectors. He was previously associated with Madura Micro Finance Limited. He joined our Company as the Company Secretary on August 11, 2020.
Krishnaswami has more than 18 years of experience in IT Consulting, Project management, Technology solutions, customization & implementation, IT infrastructure and Information security in various MNC companies. He provides leadership through policy implementation, strategic thinking and decision making. He has built and lead high-performance teams to manage, implement and streamline complex IT designs. Having wide knowledge in various domains like Hardware, ERP, Resource planning, Social services, Banking and Practice Management systems. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with CSS Corp, Effigent & Tauraweb Technologies. Krishnaswami holds M.sc – IT from the Institute of Advance Studies and Education and is certified as Scrum Master. He also holds a diploma in Design Thinking from Stanford University through online learning.
Srikanth has an overall 20+ years, of qualitative experience in Human Resource. Srikanth is well versed with the entire recruitment cycle, Manpower planning, Induction, Employee Relations and Engagement, Payroll and Taxation, Statutory Compliances, Labour Laws, Originate HR Policies, Retention of Employees, Grievance Handling, Exit, Benchmarking and IRIS. Prior to Aptus, Srikanth was associated with CSS Corp Pvt Ltd, (Software Development and Testing Division), Viveks Ltd and Sundram Fasteners Ltd (TVS). He had done automation for Payroll, employee attendance, E-Documentation for employee personal files. He was a process champ for ISO and PCMM certifications. Srikanth holds a Master’s degree (MHRM) in Human Resources from Pondicherry University.
Amit is a Senior Finance Professional with 16+ years of rich experience with diversified industries including Housing Finance, NBFC, Digital Payment Solutions, Automobile, Life Insurance, and Consulting. He is experienced in leading a wide spectrum of Financial Strategies, Financial Planning, Taxation, Treasury, Audits, Controls, M&A, Compliances and Accounts Operations. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to joining Aptus, Amit was associated with Hitachi Payments, Edelweiss Housing Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Birla Sun Life Insurance, and Ernst Young.
Sundara Kumar has over 14 years of legal experience in financial services, housing finance / mortgages, in particular. He was earlier associated with Standard Chartered Bank looking after the legal function relating to retail and mortgages portfolio. His experience in title deed scrutiny, SARFAESI and arbitration procedures is also good and relevant. Prior to this he was associated with M/s. King & Partridge, Law firm. Sundara Kumar holds B.com, B.L., from Madras University. Also he had completed the ICWAI (Inter) and ACS (Inter).
Ramesh has more than 15 years of experience in areas of Credit & Risk Management, Fraud Control and operations in retail finance. He has very good exposure in portfolio analysis, learning and implementation of same in future funding like infant delinquency analysis, lagged delinquency analysis. He has handled a large retail portfolio and was instrumental in the Pilot launch of Credit based Risk Model across Pan India. He had made immense contributions towards many initiatives including optimum utilization of resources, popularly known as lean cell management, Portfolio analysis, managing customer service operations. He was also involved in the launch of the TAB project for processing Credit application of retail finance. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with Cholamandalam Investments and Finance, Barclays, ICICI Bank and GE Capital. Ramesh holds MBA from Madras University.
Azhaladi has more than 15 years of experience in managing retail portfolios including receivables, most of which in Housing Finance. He has rich experience in NPA resolution, more particularly with SARFAESI implementations. Mr. Azhaladi is experienced in handling large collection teams across branches, implementing specific strategies for soft and hard bucket loan accounts and has a a special skill for out of the court settlements. He has piloted the launch of mobile field collections to achieve NIL transaction loss and also eliminate other revenue losses. He has also formulated strategies to reduce collections cost to improve productivity. Prior to joining Aptus, he was associated with organizations including Natrust, Kotak Mahindra, GE Money and HDFC Bank in various capacities. Azhaladi is an MBA graduate from Madurai Kamarajar University and also holds an LLB from Bangalore University.
Naveen has almost 10 years of varied experience in Financial services and more importantly in the Housing Finance Industry and has been mostly associated with hands on work experience in handling operations at various levels of the company and at present leading the Operations and Customer Care Unit of the company. He has strong analytical and technical skills combined with procedural experience in supervising the Loan Origination System and Loan Management System, Portfolio analytics, Risk assessment and customer service operations. Naveen is a graduate in engineering and also holds Post graduation degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anna University.
