During his tenure, he served as Executive Director and Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company and as Managing Director of Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company, a joint venture with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, Japan. He also held the position of CEO/Director for the Financial Services businesses of the Murugappa Group.

Between 2008 and 2015, Mr. Anandan was associated with several leading financial institutions, including Equitas Micro Finance Ltd (Director), Manappuram Finance Ltd (Director), and Five Star Business Credits Ltd (Chairman). He has also served as a Committee Member and Chairman of various industry forums in the finance and insurance sectors.

In 2010, he founded Aptus Value Housing Finance India Limited and has been the Managing Director and Chairman. Under his leadership, Aptus has emerged as a trusted affordable housing finance institution, operating across six states with over 350 branches and a workforce of more than 4,000 employees.
